Organic Green Drink & Cleanses

chef V Cleanse QAQ:Chef V, I am really struggling with breakfast ideas for pre and post cleanse. Do you have any suggestions?

– April W.

Before I answer this question, which I get all the time, I challenge everyone to start rethinking ‘breakfast’. We’ve all heard it’s the “most important meal of the day’. Well then why aren’t we putting the most important things in our bodies first? Is toast, pancakes, oatmeal, or eggs, really the best thing to put in our bodies first thing every day? Or should we be putting greens and vegetables in our bodies first thing in the AM? Think about it… Putting grains in your body first thing is just slowing your metabolism, spiking your blood sugar and setting your day up for a horrible start.

By putting greens in your body first thing, you are setting your body up for a much better day of digestion, energy, nutrient absorption, detox, and many more benefits. Drinking Chef V’s Organic Green Drink is the BEST thing I can tell you to do first thing in the AM. It’s low sugar, fresh, healthy, packed with nutrients, and easy to digest, since it’s blended. If not Chef V’s Organic Green Drink, then try to make your own. Avoid store bought green drinks, as there are no nutrients in those drinks and they are PACKED with SUGAR! Avoid sugar in the AM unless it’s fresh fruit (in low moderation). Eat fresh fruit in moderation and only in the AM (for proper digestion).

Eat VEGETABLES in the AM! Yes, I know it seems weird but for being the most important meal of the day, why haven’t we been taught to put the most important things in first? Beats me?! That’s what I am trying to teach people. Try eating veggies in the AM and carbs later in the day, you will be amazed at how different your body feels, how much energy you have, and how little you crave bad carbs. Greens- Eat any and all green leafy vegetables. Blend them up, eat them whole, or chop them in a salad. However you can get them, eat them first and everyday!

Fruit- Any apples, cantaloupe, blueberries, raspberries, mangos, passion fruit, blackberries, pineapple, papaya, peaches, plums, nectarines, kiwi, coconut, avocado and many more, as long as they aren’t on the exclusion list.
