We know it is a great sacrifice for your membership to give up their club but I can assure you that they can be confident that there is no greater cause than to help those who sacrifice parts of their body to protect us. Allen D. Alfred, Chairman of the Injured Marines Semper Fi Fund ______________________________________________ "You guys did absolutely GREAT!!! Lockers were tagged, carts were named and ready, menus were printed ahead of time, Rob Sedorcek's tips and lessons were great. A MAJOR THANK YOU to each of you and your teams." J.P. Davis, St. Albans Member ______________________________________________ "The MWGA would like to thank the Country Club of St. Albans for hosting the 2015 Women's Amateur Championship last week! The course was beautiful and the hospitality beyond compare!" The Missouri Women's Golf Association "We will be hard pressed to find a club as welcoming and family friendly as St. Albans. The golf is exceptional. The special events are always very well done! It was a wonderful place to be a part of. If we weren't transferred to the east coast, we would never leave St. Albans." Eric & Rachel Green ______________________________________________ "Look, I'm one guy with one opinion, and to me, St. Albans is the most unique property in the St. Louis area. It has championship golf, spectacular views, peaceful serenity, great dining, etc. As a member of the St. Louis golf community, thank you for all your hard work, and dedication to golf in St. Louis." All the best, Skip Berkmeyer "Our company utilized the beautiful facilities for a breakfast seminar and golf outing for prospects and clients. All enjoyed the event tremendously. The staff took care of every detail, outperforming our expectations. For future business events, we plan to return to the Country Club of St. Albans."

The OregonianBijou Cafe Instead of cringing at our I'm-in-"Portlandia" moments, let's embrace them. Tote bags really do look good with birds on them, "Battlestar Galactica" is in fact compelling, and breakfast in Portland - with all of its fresh, seasonal creativity - really is worth a wait. Classy and classic, Bijou Cafe (132 S.W. Third Ave., 503-222-3187) is equally suited to breakfast with parents-in-law or with the new flame. The harissa hash is smoky and rich, and the tofu scramble has a lovely texture, but eggs are Bijou's strength: from light, fluffy omelets to gooey eggs over easy, the humble egg has seldom seemed so perfect. Mere moments from Willamette Park, cozy Cafe du Berry (6439 S.W. Macadam Ave., 503-244-5551) is a great place to preface a day of kayaking. Its famed French toast feels more like custard than bread and is sweet but not cloying - no syrup necessary. Besaw's (2301 N.W. Savier St., 503-228-2619) has been going strong for 110 years. With a warm cafe feel and a classic breakfast, it's no wonder. The light, earthy forest mushroom omelet is a lovely start to any day, while the rich, dense Farmer's Hash will power you happily through weekend projects. The textured wallpaper and gold vinyl booths at Juniors Cafe (1742 S.E. 12th Ave., 503-467-4971) are so comfortable that they're well matched for breakfast, that blurry-eyed meal you eat before preparing fully for the day. Grip your cup of coffee and try either the Texan or the migas scramble. Warm, cozy and extremely popular, Tin Shed Garden Cafe (1438 N.E. Alberta St., 503-288-6966) excels at the classics (the Benni Hill has perfectly poached eggs with a tangy and velvety hollandaise) and the creative (the comforting Belly Pleaser features rice with coconut milk, vanilla and mango). If Fido waited in line with you, have your meal on the heated patio and treat pooch to the Paw-Lickin' Good, a bowl of chicken and rice.

Famous for its perfect pancakes, it also has a creative lunch and dinner menu and guests are welcome to BYOB. George Chatzopoulos (Georgie) immigrated to the United States from Greece in 1987 and worked in the restaurant business for many years. Since Georgie took over Chip’s in 2003, he has extended the Chip’s Family Restaurant Menu to give customers healthier choices by adding fresh local produce and whole grain items. Being proud of his Greek heritage, he has also blended Greek and Mediterranean favorites in with traditional American family style. A big feature of the menu is that breakfast is served all day with all your favorite pancakes like cinnamon raisin, peanut butter and banana, black forest, Hawaiian, sweet potato, whole wheat. We are a family restaurant. Everything is homemade and that’s what makes the difference. -George Chatzopoulos Georgie has a simple philosophy of his business. “We are a family restaurant. Everything is homemade and that’s what makes the difference.” He said many high school students have gained their first working experience at Chip’s. Georgie gives back to the community and the restaurant is home to many civic organization meetings including the Orange Rotary, Lions Club and Chamber of Commerce.

Breakfast out, particularly on the weekend, really seems to start the day off well. Even those non morning people are okay after a good coffee and there's plenty of great conversation happening around town over breakfast. The other good thing about breakfast is that you know you're not going to be spending much more than $20 a person, including your coffee, unless you are really looking for a coffee hit. So here's my 10 top places to enjoy breakfast within the Brisbane area - no particular order. Please share your favourites in the comments section below. 1. It's only six months since Paddington Deli & Epicure opened its doors in the Paddington Antique Centre building on Latrobe Terrace.Deli owner Antoinette Pease has expanded her original offering with the assistance of key new staff including Stu from Stu's Smoked Sauces and a pastry chef. The shop is now a cave of delights with shelves full of high quality produce and cabinets showing food that demands to be eaten. The only problem is what to choose. My pick: Gluten free zucchini and corn fritters accompanied by avocado salsa. Shouk's new style of breakfast options have found a ready audience amongst Brisbane's food lovers. You only need to look at the plate to discover why but the food certainly tastes as good as it looks. My pick: (top photo) Latke stack with poached egg - crisp Polish pancakes sandwiches with creme fraiches topped with premium ham and surrounded by pretty pickled red onion and dill. 3. Elixir Coffee, Stafford It's all about the coffee here as the ambience is industrial and busy. But the coffee more than makes up for it and the breakfast menu has good options with both healthly and indulgent choices. My pick - Breakast burrito - streaky bacon, three friend eggs, cheese, mushrooms, baby spinach and house-made tomato relish. You know the coffee is going to be good when there's a roastery in the house. The Roastery Cafe has its home in same building as Rouge Coffee Roasters, wrapping itself around the shiny Probat roaster which can be seen from the cafe through a glass window. Of course the cafe's house blend comes from Rouge Coffee. My pic: Poached eggs with avo, fetta and chilli jam. 5. Sassafrass, Paddington It’s a bit like sitting down to eat in your crazy aunt’s kitchen, but the food is much better. That’s the feeling I have sitting inside the quirky old Paddington Queenslander with its tongue and grove walls, vintage tables and mismatched chairs. The old Sunbeam Mixmasters perched high on the bookshelf crammed full of old magazines and books just add to the aura

Santa Barbara Breakfast on the Beach

The hardest thing about having breakfast in Santa Barbara is the fact that it (usually) only happens once a day, meaning you only get to pick one place to eat it. And there are so many great breakfast and brunch spots in the area that even those of us who are lucky enough to live here are familiar with this internal argument: As you can imagine, it gets even more complicated when you add more people and taste buds to the conversation. Fortunately you have this list to guide you and - let's hope - more than one chance to enjoy the most important meal of the day while you're in town. And if you only have one breakfast opportunity, here's your cheat sheet. If you're a gourmand, head to the Scarlett Begonia. Greasy spoon connoisseur? Garrett's Old Fashioned Restaurant is for you. If both size and scope are important, the best brunch buffet (possibly in the state of California) can be found at the Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara. And finally, for a great European inspired breakfast, visit D'Angelo's Bread. 10 Cajun Kitchen is a Santa Barbara tradition, a local breakfast and lunch joint with something like a million different area locations. And every location is packed, too! Hearty food, good prices and quick service keeps us coming. Standard fare at Cajun Kitchen includes big, three-egg omelets, syrupy french toast and classic sandwiches. Breakfast is served all day. In addition to your usual toast options, they also offer cornbread and blueberry muffins. This a great place to take kids even if they're notoriously picky eaters. It's also a fun, informal place to dine with a group. Prepare for a wait on weekend mornings. ((805) 687-2062) 9 If you've ever talked to anyone in Santa Barbara about brunch - and price was no object - then you've undoubtedly heard of the "Biltmore brunch." Brunch at the Bella Vista restaurant within the Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara is the stuff legends are made of: two whole rooms of food, bottomless mimosas, hours to indulge while sitting on an ocean view patio. There is a seafood station, caviar station, cheese and charcuterie station, carving station, dessert station and kid station (don't worry, it features tasty food for children, not actual kids) in addition brunch specials and made-to-order egg dishes. This grand buffet is open from 10:00 AM until 1:30 PM. A smaller, a la carte brunch is offered on Saturdays. Reservations recommended. (805-969-2261)

Standing at 6ft, Brendan lost 11st 3lb through diet and exercise, now weighing a trim 14st 6lb (right) He would hide behind jokes about his size and, despite attempting to slim down in the past, it wasn’t until his 30th birthday that he decided to make a serious change. He says: ‘I turned 30 at the beginning of 2013. You get to that age and I suppose you start to grow up a bit. I’d been lucky and didn’t have any health problems, but I began to wonder how long I could continue with the lifestyle I was leading and remain reasonably healthy. ‘We organised a number of birthday celebrations throughout the year and looking back I realise my weight impacted on a lot of them. A holiday to Spain last summer was almost ruined because I spent the whole time feeling too hot to enjoy myself, and on the plane home I only just managed to fasten the seatbelt. It dug into me for the whole flight and I decided enough was enough. Brendan used to eat an unhealthy diet of convenience food, snacking on crisps and chocolate Back home Brendan and his wife Sarah, who live in Fridaythorpe in East Yorkshire, joined a nearby Slimming World group in Driffield in August 2013. Brendan says: ‘Anyone who says they weren’t nervous when they first joined Slimming World, especially a bloke, probably isn’t telling the truth. ‘I was terrified because I thought everyone was going to turn and look at me, but I needn’t have worried as everyone was so friendly and welcoming – and there was even another man there which pleased me no end! I quickly realised I’d come to the right place and I’ve made so many friends there now, it’s like having your own cheerleading squad every week.’ Brendan's incredible achievement has resulted in him being crowned Slimming World's Man of the Year Brendan and Sarah swapped their diet of ready meals, convenience foods and weekly takeaways for cooking meals from scratch including their favourite dish of barbecue pulled pork. He says: ‘I’ve followed meal replacement diets before and lost several stone but they taught me nothing about changing the way I eat and my relationship with food, so when I stopped, the weight went back on as quickly as I’d lost it. ‘I love that I can fill my plate and feel satisfied – the only problem now is that Sarah and I argue over who gets to do the cooking because we both enjoy it so much!’ Previously doing minimal activity, Brendan has discovered a love of running during his weight loss As well as overhauling his eating habits, Brendan’s discovered a love of running. He says: ‘I’ve never been sporty and at school I’d do anything I could to avoid PE. But after I’d lost a bit of weight I decided I wanted to increase my activity levels and my consultant, Shirley, told me about the couch to 5km challenge, which promised to get you running for 30 minutes within weeks. ‘I decided to give it a try and within eight weeks I ran 30 minutes without stopping – in fact, I was so pleased I ended up running for 45 minutes because I didn’t want to stop! Since then I’ve taken part in 10k races and I’d like to attempt further in the future. Brendan's diet before Breakfast: Croissants, large latte

Before the “Mean Girls” cafeteria map, there was “The Breakfast Club.” Growing up, watching “The Breakfast Club” was the perfect act of rebellion, without actually having to rebel. It’s an iconic movie for misfits across generations, and it proves that the popular kids are never really as perfect as you think. In so many ways, “The Breakfast Club” is one of the few teen movies that actually takes teens seriously. By the end of the movie, those kids are more self-aware than I am. I can’t help but wonder if they escaped their fates and avoided turning into their parents. After all, the older I get, the more I open my mouth and hear my mother come out. Originally, “The Breakfast Club” was supposed to be filmed every 10 years. While it didn’t end up happening because of the volatile relationship between John Hughes and Judd Nelson (Hughes didn’t want to work with Nelson again because of his contentious relationship with Ringwald it’s easy to imagine these characters’ fates. Since the planned sequels never happened, it begs the question: where would “The Breakfast Club” be today? “Criminal” John Bender After a brief flirtation with Claire, Bender can’t help but cheat on her with the plethora of burn-out ladies available to him. Despite his bad behavior, he considers her “the one that got away.” Unfortunately, Bender’s breakup with Claire forces his extreme bitterness to amplify. He pawns her diamond for weed money and spends the rest of high school trying to win her back, despite their extreme social disparity. When that doesn’t work, he spends the next couple decades roaming the halls of Shermer High as a janitor. “Athlete” Andrew Clark Andy suffers a leg injury and has to give up his dream of wrestling in college, disappointing his father. After graduation, he returns to Shermer High to become the wrestling coach. He and Allison Reynolds were high school sweethearts who married directly after graduation. After they divorce, he finally comes out of the closet (an affair with one of his students forces him to). This disappoints his father once again. Eventually, his leg heals and he becomes a Raw wrestler, making his dreams come true. His signature move is the “Bun Taper.” “Brain” Brian Johnson Brian’s mother continues to cut the crust off of his PB&Js long into adulthood, which forces him to hold onto his virginity for much longer than he’d like (he carries that nudie photo around for years). After a stint at MIT, he drops out and makes millions in the tech world. He finally cashes in his V-card to one of the many supermodels who hangs around his techno-entourage. He sends Bender money for years. “Basket Case” Allison Reynolds After her short-lived marriage to Andrew, Allison sets out on her own and moves to New York. While she doesn’t “sit in alleyways and, like, talk to buildings and wear men’s shoes and that kinda thing, ” she does wear a lot of black and become a poet. Claire visits once a year and they do brunch, “Sex and the City” style.

Built in 1924, Colcord House is located in north Waco, TX and is just a short five-minute drive from the Hot Fairgrounds, Historic Downtown Waco, museums, antique stores, historic homes, Cameron Park, the River Walk, and Cameron Park Zoo. Colcord House is ten minutes from MCC, Baylor University, Floyd Casey Stadium, and shopping areas. The Waco Airport, Industrial Park and Market Place shopping are fifteen minutes away. The Colcord House is conveniently located in the beautiful and stately historical district of Waco, Texas. One might think that such an interesting place might be archaic to visit. Quite to the contrary, the Colcord House is comfortable and has the luxury of its own with its private pools and gardens. We would love to show you the distinctively lovely Colcord House, and its many historically significant rooms. The Colcord House was originally owned by the Lacy family of Waco, Texas. The Lacy family was one of the original families in the industrial and banking industries in Waco. The family built the house and maintained the house throughout the twentieth century. We, the Allen family, bought the dwelling from the Lacy family in 1995. We became the proud owners of the Colcord House Bed and Breakfast. We would be delighted to be of service to you on your next visit to Waco or the surrounding communities. Please give us the opportunity to serve you in our distinctively elegant bed and breakfast.

Customers have long shared their desire for all-day breakfast, and the fast-food chain is finally listening. After years of mediocre earnings, the company is trying to respond to changing palettes and growing competition from chains that already offer extended breakfast hours, such as Dunkin' Donuts.
