WHATS THE MOST IMPORTANT MEAL OF THE DAY? Breakfast of course! We've picked 10 of our favorite breakfast spots to help you fulfill your pancakes, biscuits, waffles, and benedict cravings. The below has been carefully selected based on the Chef's mastery for taste, creativity and quality.
1) Geraldine's Counter
Dish recommendation:
Geraldine's French Toast
Located in the corner of Columbia City's downtown district, you'll find a cozy restaurant that serves the best French Toast around, three thick slices, with the perfect crispy buttery outer layer, and a custardy inner center topped with seasonal fresh fruit and homemade maple syrup over the top.

"Manchego Biscuits" with chorizo gravy and a poached egg.
The Manchego Biscuits are made with locally sourced ingredients from local growers and artisan producers who practice organic, sustainable farming. The gravy has a nice punch to the dish which compliments well with the cheesy, buttery bread and the perfectly cooked egg yolk.
Shrimp creole, cheese grits and perfectly poached eggs.
This New Orleans-inspired restaurant in Queen Anne serves up fresh beignets all the way to grits. We've selected a dish that speaks to the heart of the Chef, a classic shrimp creole with cheesy grits that does not hold back. If you're available in the mornings, take advantage of the Toulouse ‘Breakfast Happy Hour’ where most items on the Breakfast Menu are only .00 every Monday - Friday from 8am - 11am.
5) Ma’ono Fried Chicken and Whisky
In February of 2012, Mark & Marjorie transformed Spring Hill Restaurant & Bar to Ma‘ono Fried Chicken & Whisky for those that were wondering. Although not completely Hawaiian, one of our favorite dishes is the Corned Beef Hash, simple ingredients with a ton of flavor.
6) Tilikum Place
Best recommendation:
Sweet potato and Dungeness crab Benedict with caramelized vegetables and herbed hollandaise
7) Din Tai Fung
Shrimp & Pork Wonton w/ Spicy Sauce
8) Portage Bay
