Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but whoever said that has not heard of brunch. Brunch is my personal favorite meal of the day since I get the comfort of breakfast food and don't have to wake up early for it. But let's be honest, making brunch is a hassle and the best way to enjoy brunch is to eat out. So if you're in Reno, here are my top 10 choices (in descending order) for the best places to brunch.
10. Cafe DeLuxe
Cafe DeLuxe is one of the few brunch places in Reno to offer a wide selection of gluten-free and vegan friendly selections. From breakfast burritos and even breakfast tacos, not only is this restaurant on the budget friendly side, but they also have unique brunch choices that surely won't disappoint.
9. Daily Bagel
With homemade bagels that are way better than the on-campus Eintstein's for the fraction of the price, this place is perfect if you're on the go. If you're dining in, you can check out the local artwork, which changes monthly. Not only do they have great bagels, but they also have locally roasted gourmet coffee.
8. Squeeze In
Squeeze In is perfect for the entire family, as it has a wide selection for brunch. Squeeze In has omelets that are not only unique but delicious, as well. So delicious that they were even featured on Food Network's "Throwdown with Bobby Flay." My personal favorite is the "Racy Tracy."
7. Midtown Eats
Midtown Eats is located in the heart of Midtown and is usually known for their outstanding dinner menu. However, their brunch menu is just as great and offers the same great quality and taste. My personal favorite items from their brunch menu include the brioche french toast and the avocado toast. Their bread is soft and light but has a perfect crunch on the outside.
6. Sterling's Sunday Brunch
This restaurant is more on the pricy side, but for the outstanding service and quality of food that you'll get, it is well worth it. The best part about Sterling's Sunday Brunch is that it's an all you can eat buffet, so you can stuff your face with the best crab legs, bacon, and lamb chops!
5. Kimmy's Coffee Cup
With pancakes as big as your face and homemade country sausages that are to die for, Kimmy's Coffee Cup has all the brunch staples to fill your appetite. The best thing about the pancakes are not only are they massive, but they are perfectly light and fluffy.
4. Peg's Glorified Ham and Eggs
Peg's Glorified Ham and Eggs has the best omelets in Reno, hands down. With the items on the menu made cooked-to-order and a reasonably priced menu, you can't go wrong. I highly recommend the Monte Cristo, it's the perfect combination of sweet and savory and will surely satisfy your brunch time cravings. I recommend planning ahead and heading here early, as it does get busy.
3. The Stone House Cafe
Located in the suburbs of Reno, Stone House Cafe has a menu that won't disappoint. With their brunch menu that offers banana rum French toast to a lobster omelet, they have dishes that will satisfy both your savory and sweet tooth. With the price running from an average of $12 per person, their brunch menu will surely fill your appetite without breaking the bank.
