Not going to forget this night! Simple Minds performed the 1985 Breakfast Club theme song "Don't You (Forget About Me)" at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, May 17 — and it was seriously perfect. Even more, the film's star Molly Ringwald introduced the band to the stage and paid tribute to late director John Hughes.
"Thirty years ago I was part of a club that made history, " the actress said. "To celebrate John and this [30th] anniversary I am proud to introduce a rock classic."
The Queen of the Brat Pack even gave a shout-out to Taylor Swift. "But now can I be in Taylor's club please? Can I be in your club!?"

Needless to say, the star-studded crowd jumped to their feet during the electrifying set. (Get it, Jennifer Lopez!)
As for Ringwald? She got her wish! Swift grabbed her in the audience and swayed back and forth with the '80s icon, aka Claire "The Princess."
